Together Forever

...because life is, after all, made up of a
MILLION sometimes seemingly insignificant MOMENTS.

WISDOM and hindsight have taught us that those moments
Are the
GRANDEUR and RICHNESS of our lives.

So, we enjoy the small things now, knowing someday we will realize
Even more intensely and clearly that they are the
BIG things.

Swimming {lessons}

The kids are taking swim lessons from my friend, Kirsten. It was a little cool out today, so the kids were a little more apprehensive. I have confidence we will make progress and they'll be little swimmers in no time!

Piano Recital

We had a piano recital at a retirement center. Our students did excellently! Although, I love all of these kids, I am going to showcase my students who were able to participate.

I was so proud of all of my students, as well as the other performers. Nice job, you guys! Keep practicing and remember me when you're famous. ;-)

Heceta Head Beach + Lighthouse

We have lived in a lot of beautiful places where there are so many fun (and free) things to do... yet our lives (pre-Eugene) always seemed so BEYOND busy, that when and if a peaceful moment ever opened up on the calendar (which was rare), we just resorted to staying at home and accomplishing something important on our ever-growing to-do list. Not again. Not this time. I refuse to live in another beautiful place (probably the most beautiful so far) and not take part in all that there is to do around here. So... we live exactly ONE hour from the coast. I was determined to at least get the kids and I there, since our weekends are always filled up with important to-dos. I recruited my friend, Kelli, as my tour guide and off we went to play at the beach. It was GORGEOUS!!!

Arrived and ate lunch before we hiked the little trail to the lighthouse
At the top, in front of the lighthouse. The view was spectacular!
Kate, taking in the beauty all around and just infatuated by the ocean.
Jackson, Ryan, Zack, Kate & Brooklyn (on the way back down... to the beach!!)
Jackson was anxious to play!
First things first. Find rocks to throw into the ocean.
Jackson must have thrown 1,000 rocks into the ocean! (okay, maybe not quite that many...)
Lucy & Kate... oooh! The water is cold, Mommy!
Katie is such a helper. And so good to Lucy!
Lucy, testing out the water, inch by inch
Climbing on the rocks in the caves. Jackson & Katie loved exploring with their friends, Zack, Ryan & Brooklyn
Lucy was absolutely in heaven. No boundaries!
Is this chubby baby girl starting to look long and lean to you too, or is it just me?! I am NOT ready for her to grow up yet! (And I have a sneaking suspicion that she is going to TOWER over me. We'll see.)
Katelynn & Brooklyn were BFF's out here.
Jackson & Katie stopped for a quick photo opp. Thanks, you two! You're the best!!

Kate chasing another seagull
Katie in her element!
Lucy LOVES Kelli; taking the ocean in strides... brave girl though. She loved every minute!
Jackson loved everything about the beach, especially running in & out with the tide and having the water "chase" him. He loves anything that feels like a race.
Lucy carried a rock with her about 68% of the time we were at the beach. Silly girl!

I attempted a picture of my kids... at one point, Kate just laid down completely flat on the towel, we if she were sunbathing. Lucy & Jackson took turns looking every direction but the camera. This was the best we could do. It was blue sky (zero clouds!), a warm, perfect day on the beautiful Oregon coast!! Thanks Wilkinsons for showing us around!

Strawberry Pickin'

Miss Ginger & Katie were busy & productive in their row!
Jackson & I had Lucy sandwiched so she couldn't escape. I was impressed how Jackson kept up with Ginger & I as we picked. He filled that bucket himself in record time!!
YUMM!! These delicious berries still have flower petals on them! Incredible!!
A job well done!! Lots and lots of fresh strawberries and we had so much fun picking! Thanks for coming with us Miss Ginger!
